Position DescriptionThe Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Come and be a part of an innovative care team on the Orthopedic Surgery and Urology Unit! We have nationally renowned urologic and urological laparoscopic gynecology surgeons. Additionally, Northside ranks in the top 10 percent of all robotic prostatectomy programs in the United States. We also have our disease specific certification in Total Hip and Knee Replacements. Be a partner in the quicker patient outcomes of the fast track and same day hip and knee replacement procedures. See your less acute patients up and moving as they are discharged anywhere from six to twenty-four hours post-surgery!
Position RequirementsREQUIRED: 1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty. 2. Associates Degree with three (3) years’ clinical experience OR Bachelor’s in Nursing with Two (2) years’ clinical experience. 3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills. 4. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. 5. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). PREFERRED: Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six (6) months of employment.
