- Managing new product features and enhancements in terms of scope, quality, and schedule within sprint cycles
- Providing hands-on management and coaching of scrum teams in all aspects of scrum (facilitating daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, calculating velocity, limiting work in progress, etc.)
- Assuring quality user stories that meet organizational standards which may require the Scrum Master to facilitate in or assist with writing team-driven user stories
- Working effectively with program management and team members to clarify needs and plan delivery of major product changes, future versions and new products
- Proactively managing sprint-level risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring that they are identified, coordinated, mitigated or escalated as necessary
- Removing impediments that would prevent the team from achieving its sprint and release goals (internal and external to the team)
- Reviewing current Agile processes, driving process improvements and challenging the teams to innovate
- Effectively maintaining and managing agile project management tools and processes, including documentation and artifacts
- Contribute to building a culture where continuous improvement of the Agile process is in focus
- Performing miscellaneous support tasks as needed throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle
- 3+ years as a scrum master with a solid understanding of technical concepts
- Excellent verbal and communication skills to provide clear, concise direction to the broader team while delivering comprehensive status to senior executives, project champions and portfolio management
- Ability to facilitate scrum processes and regularly rolling up their sleeves to help the team meet commitments while continually seeking to improve our processes and scrum execution
- Strong independent leadership skills with the ability to lead a large team with minimal oversight including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a results-oriented, fast-paced dynamic environment
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or SAFe Agilist (SA) certifications are a plus
