Job Description: Looking for an Appian Developer who can hit the ground running and be involved in all phases of the development life cycle, you will participate in design sessions, both from custom code as well as architecture standpoint. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of Appian experience, however, we will entertain candidates who have less years of hands on experience. This role is contract to hire. We cannot provide and current or future sponsorship so if you will need that, do not apply. No C2C. Candidates MUST be on Apex's W2.

This role is 100% remote but candidates must live in the United States. Again, no C2C.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Contribute to efforts to provide reliable software systems that deliver new capabilities.
Uses expert knowledge to develop and apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems
Provide full lifecycle software development to include the designing, development, testing, documenting and maintaining of software applications.
Analyzes customer requirements and may provide technical knowledge on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of moderate complexity.
Advises less experienced employees on developing highly complex documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
Assist with the research, evaluation, and deployment of cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
May assist customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
Assists with the development of large data technologies, algorithms, and applications.
Applies practical knowledge of job typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Appian solutions
Experience with Appian BPMS versions 18.x and above
Hands on experience with Java development tools, integration solutions including API's and XML and REST protocols
Experience with Databases and Database queries in solutions such as: MS SQL, DB2, Oracle PL/SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
Experience with HTML, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript
Strong business analysis, model driven architecture and model driven development
Experience working in Agile teams and Jira
Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
Innovative, and always looking for ways to integrate new technology to solve problems and fill in capability gap
