APPLICATION / SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER (Not telecom)

Education/Licenses: PMP preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Hours: Estimated 5 Days/8 Hours per day

Top Must Have Skills:

1) Strong project leadership & ownership.

2) Effective communicator.

3) Robust working knowledge of PMI / PMBOK project management processes.

4) Application Development Project management.

Top Nice Have Skills:

1) Knowledge of earned value analysis.

2) Experience with Scrum / Agile methodologies.

Manage software implementation, integration, development or upgrade projects ranging from $100k to $1M, covering platforms such as web, cloud, mobile, GIS, financial systems, and customer systems .

Projects may include outside vendors and PM manages those contracts. Mostly waterfall methodology, but frequently run projects as Agile, where appropriate. Individual PM will run 3-5 projects.

Experienced managing projects in large corporate or enterprise environments.

Proficient with Microsoft Project. MS Project Online are beneficial. Comfortable managing budgets and resource plans.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
