Job Description

Technical/Functional Skills: Snowflake, Python, SQL, SAP Data Services, Tableau, DBT Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, CI/CD Pipeline, Google BigQuery

Experience Required
  • Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate, and key management
  • Should have a good understanding of Snowflake architecture in detail - Database storage, Query Processing, cloud Services
  • Experience coding in one or more languages (such as Python, Go, etc) with experience in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience working on Cache usage, Streams, SnowSQL, snowpipe, Secure Data sharing and automating data pipelines through Snowflake
  • Understanding of data ingress & egress patterns between Snowflake & different CSPs
  • Experience with Roles, Users, Data shares, Accounts, PII , Clean Room, Schemas and Native Snowflake
  • Ability to provide recommendation on Snowflake best practices for management, monitoring, and optimization
  • Experience leading design or modernization efforts for applications using modern approaches (e.g., APIs, micro-services, etc.)
  • Experience with network and application protocols (e.g. TCP, HTTP)
  • Documenting and creating playbooks for administrative/support actions to be used by Production Support
  • Basic Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytics tools and environments
  • Ability to work cross functionally with technical and business stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support of Enterprise Data Platform and Legacy Data Warehouse.
  • Maintenance (updates/closures) on batch and user tickets generated in Jira/ServiceNow.
  • Monitor and support SSIS jobs that load data into IDW
  • Support SSRS and SSAS services that report out of IDW.
  • Maintenance of current legacy HDS systems.
  • Perform alert and escalation handling.
  • Conduct performance review on batch and applications.
  • Start, participate and communicate in incident calls
  • Perform release testing based on Snowflake release cadence.
  • Data Validations, Table/ Database Management in snowflake,
  • Create and maintain runbooks for the production processes.
  • Monitor and provide recommendations to optimize the snowflake environment.
  • Creation, Support, and maintenance of SAP Data Services Jobs.
  • Monitoring and support for the Jobs and DBT models in DBT Cloud.
  • Tableau report monitoring and support.
  • Handling security patches ensuring system running without any vulnerability
  • Infrastructure expertise in computer and database design for high availability and disaster recovery, monitoring, cloud efficiency, rightsizing, and patching.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality.
  • Technical troubleshooting as well as partnering with vendors and other organizations to drive root cause analysis and solve complex technical problems.
  • Trouble-shoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures.
  • Develop relevant functional and technical documentation.
  • Interact with Release Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture Support Database Support, other Development teams and Operations as required
  • Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle for Enterprise Data applications including current production and any future applications
  • Create and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting best practice guidelines, standards and procedures
