- Coaching, mentoring and developing a high-performing motivated engineering team, providing career development planning and opportunities
- Being accountable for the application feature assisting in developing application roadmap and delivery of the associated initiatives
- Evolving application maturity in automation, operations, stability, and support
- Maintaining awareness of industry trends and evaluating applicability of new software tools to platform development
- Working closely with Product Managers, other Technical Leads, Software Engineers, Operations, Devops, and Project Managers in a highly collaborative environment to provide quality software and solutions, while providing the necessary leadership to deliver releases on time and on budget
- Managing around 5-10 direct reports and close to 20-25 contractors
- Developing and executing strategic plans in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders
- Building and establishing solid working relationships by providing timely, accurate and high-quality information to peers, subordinates, upper management and/or customers
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred
- 7-10 years of related experience in Software Development and/or IT Leadership
- 5+ years of experience in developing highly available and scalable web applications, Service oriented Architecture
- Experience leading a web development team in an Agile environment is required
- Strong leadership profile and excellent prioritization, communication, and negotiation skills, capable of managing multiple streams of work in parallel with aggressive timelines
- Technical understanding of modern technology concepts such as: Java/J2EE, Spring, SpringBoot, Javascript, jQuery, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, etc.
- Cloud experience is required (Google Cloud is a plus)
- Experience with at least one relational database system (Ex. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
- Supply chain related experience is a huge plus
