- Applies advanced knowledge of design and engineering principals and concepts to design key component(s) for the Commercial Data Center Networks
- Ensures high quality design is delivered that meets specifications
- Lead responsibility for technical design, implementation, maintenance, and support of key network systems
- Generates and communicates ideas to improve overall system and/or streamline delivery of product/system
- Acts as technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and vendors on a subset of larger projects
- Develops plans and provides real-time support for the activities to implement network changes and associated components. Based on system parameters and historic data perform troubleshooting and analysis to determine ways to improve a network’s reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Work with senior engineers to design and implement solutions.
- Maintaining and upgrading existing network solutions.
- 24x7 on call support when assigned.
- Able to successfully handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Champions needs of customer community and enhancing user experience as related to systems performance and reliability. Has expert understanding of impact on adjacent systems and long-term impact of technical decisions
- Able to follow technical methods and standards based on best practices.
- Expert understanding of general networking principles and best practices including Datacenter, software defined networks and public cloud
- Solid working knowledge of Network architecture, design, and implementation.
- Demonstrating well round command of Network technology disciplines for WAN and LAN technologies
- Broad technical skills in applications performance, monitoring software, operating systems, storage, databases, network, and security.
- In depth experience in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies including reliable trouble shooting techniques is a must
- Experience deploying networks across multiple data centers and public cloud services also a must. Experience in server virtualization, workflow orchestration, load balancing and network security principles and disaster recovery is required.
- Knowledge of Network architecture, design and implementation is a must
- Expert Networking discipline in the following: Layer 1-7, Routing protocols, BGP/BFD, OSPF, Load balancing, Equal cost routing, MPLS, Packet capture and flow analysis, and Network monitoring.
- Specific knowledge of Cisco ACI, Arista CloudVision, F5, AVI Load Balancers is a plus
