Immediate contract need in metro Atlanta for this 2 year project with other projects to follow! Owner's Representative / Superintendent with 10+ years of proven experience with power utility distribution and delivery for underground and overhead projects. The Superintendent coordinates all preconstruction and construction activities throughout the duration of the project and is the main point of contact in the field between Manpower Engineering's Client and the Power Utility Company/Owner. The Superintendent is responsible for total field management of the project, including the complete budget profitable outcome. You will work closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors performing the work on HDD Rigs and other field equipment. You oversee the work and write reports and documentation for project notes and add changes.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record as a Superintendent dealing with new, ground up (overhead power lines) and underground construction. Experience working with power utility subcontractors and or Power Utility companies is highly desired and needed.

  • Partnering with estimating department throughout bidding process and handoff of awarded projects
  • Review subcontract bids for completeness, and work with PM and Construction Manager as necessary to negotiation best possible contract with subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with the client, based on a commitment to industry leading customer service that results in complete customer satisfaction and future project opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule consistent with contractual requirements. Creating and maintaining a schedule pace that will ensure timely completion.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for necessary materials
  • Prepare and review with Superintendent Job Start Package
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with appropriate parties
  • Conduct periodic job meetings during construction with appropriate parties
  • Partner with subcontractor to assist with job specific procedures and adjust progress as necessary to insure timely completion of project
  • Partner with subcontractors to ensure job specific safety requirements are established and complied with by all project participants.
  • Process all required paperwork for both internal and external use
  • Insure that both Company and client objectives are being met

Qualifications Requirements

  • 10+ years direct work experience as noted in description is needed most
  • A Construction Management degree or BSEE is a plus
  • Must have minimum of 10 years with direct field Superintendent work experience
