The WOCN serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with various wound care needs, ostomy/fistula management, and incontinence management. Accountable for collaborating with the health care team to define and communicate the expected outcomes care for this patient population. Provide leadership for education to support the advancement of wound, ostomy, and continence care and improvement of patient outcomes. Serves as a resource, leader and role model for wound and ostomy management and functions as a liaison with the community, other health care professionals, and other disciplines regarding areas of wound and ostomy management.QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse requiredCurrent AHA BLS card requiredCertified in Wound, Ostomy and/or Continence preferredCertified Wound Care Nurse; Wound Care Certified requiredBSN required; MSN preferred2-3 years of Medical Surgical Nursing (In-patient AcuteCare) requiredPrevious wound care experience preferredEOE-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
