The Training Manager for The Cheesecake Factory Bakery Inc. creates and manages the learning and development/training programs appropriate for the Bakery. This person will promote a learning environment to drive operational results. This position supports the Bakery staff in directing the overall training activities of the Bakery. The Training Manager leads a staff of training and education specialists who organize and conduct training and educational programs for employee development, orientation, and on-the-job training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop targeted employee training programs by working in coordination with the Bakery management team.

Develop, enhance and streamline the orientation program for new hires - Continue to improve the certification program.

Develop training curriculum for Managers and crew leaders (leadership development program).

Supervise and lead a Training Team.

Use Project management concepts/principles in developing training.

Utilize Root Cause Analysis, Pareto, flow charts and other analytic tools to identify issues and propose resolutions.

Evaluate processes to optimize product handling, product flow and layouts.

Oversee and assist in the development of training programs.

Determine training methods to be used, such as individual or group instruction, workshops, and demonstrations.

Research and develop handbooks, models, and other teaching aids.

Evaluate employee test scores to measure training program effectiveness and reports findings to management.

Recommend changes to improve program content, and works with management to achieve Bakery training goals.

Prepare and approve budgets and travel plans.

Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Qualifications

College degree in Adult Learning/Education or similar function.

5-7 years experience in training all levels of employees in a manufacturing environment.

Must demonstrate the ability to manage people and processes.

Must drive execution in a compassionate and collaborative manner.

Must possess well developed leadership and organizational skills.

Must be project oriented and have the ability to follow through on long term goals.

Must be able to develop training plan and schedules to support business objectives.

Desire to be in customer-oriented environment.

Must be flexible to flow to the work independent of the shift and work hours.

Must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English.

Ability to handle multi-tasking.

Ability to excel in fast a paced environment.

High degree of dependability and integrity.

MS Office proficiency.
