We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Finisher to join our team. This role is essential to delivering the high-quality craftsmanship our customers expect. The ideal candidate has experience in wood finishing, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for fine woodworking.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare custom wood cabinets for finishing, including sanding, sealing, and cleaning surfaces
Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and other finishes by hand or using spray equipment
Match and blend colors to meet project specifications
Ensure a smooth, consistent, and high-quality finish on all products
Inspect finished pieces for quality and consistency
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment properly
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in cabinet finishing or related woodworking field
Knowledge of various wood types, stains, and finishing techniques
Ability to operate spray equipment and hand tools with precision
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a custom cabinet shop or high-end woodworking environment
Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based finishing systems
Color matching skills and touch-up experience
