TMD Clinic Receptionist
The Atlanta TMD Institute is looking for an OUTSTANDING and CARING person to answer our telephones and help our head and neck pain patients (TMD,TMJ). You must naturally enjoy helping others. Atlanta TMD Institute patients are often patients in pain, so the receptionist must naturally want to do everything possible to offer help to our callers. Handling our switchboard involves answering calls and making sure that the MOST IMPORTANT calls are handled first. We are NOT first come, first serve. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to details.
The receptionist also collects money from patients, usually by credit cards. We offer payment plans to patients using a company called CHERRY and you will learn the procedures to help patients with this type of payment. You MUST BE COMFORTABLE TALKING ABOUT MONEY AND TAKING MONEY FROM PATIENTS
Requirements
Arrive at work on time every day
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with necessary information and assistance.
Answer and manage incoming calls immediately and efficiently
Not use your personal telephone at work
Dress appropriately in business casual
Be comfortable talking about money and taking payments from patients
Precisely and ACCURATELY filling out New Patient Routing Forms correctly 100% of the time
Complete tasks IMMEDIATELY and without delays
Learn the official answers to the most common questions to callers and NOT MAKE UP PERSONAL responses. We have a training book that you must study at home.
Manage incoming calls
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
Handle patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment.
Proficient in using office equipment and software applications; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is important.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at
all times.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

We prefer a long-term career-oriented person who is willing to learn and who goes out of his or her way to do things right. We do REQUIRE a college graduate. Pay is commensurate with experience and will be discussed at the interview if you qualify

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour to start Advancement is available with hard work
Expected hours: 40 per week with 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday
