Requisition Number: 215525 The Information Management Director role acts as a key IT leader and Technologist for the Data Support Systems function in the Enterprise Development & Operations organization. This role will be responsible for driving a modernized framework and an adaptive/flexible set of tools and processes in support information management. Purpose is to enable business driven strategy and operations (Legal/Privacy, Regulatory, Retention), BI/Reporting and Analytics.

Strategy & Architecture
  • Maintain and implement information architecture, data domains and schematics (conceptual and logical) at an enterprise level in partnership with business data governance teams.
  • Evaluate current state (data/platform architectures) and identify incremental opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, delivery throughput and "shift" to modernized information architecture methods.
  • Develop and drive adoption of data standards and policies within DSS, technology and business stakeholders. Integrate architecture design with Dev & Ops teams.
  • Develop a balanced blueprint, maximizing traditional components and emerging strategies of digital, customer experience, DevOps, IoT, Cloud, Big Data, Data/Web Services, etc.
  • Develop ROI/Use Cases with stakeholders and position value and investment planning

Delivery & Operations
  • Enable and maintain data catalog, tagging, classifications and definitions library for the enterprise.
  • Enable and maintain data discovery methods (ML based) and tools for at scale identification, classification and tagging of data to include PII, SPI and analytical, reporting, and operational context and uses.
  • Enable and maintain master data, reference data and data quality in key business strategies and program. Institutionalize as part of the core data hub and foundation for "shared" data used by the company.
  • Enable and maintain operational data governance (intake, change management, workflow, policies/standards, stewardship, and metrics).
  • Implement and execute minimum standards across projects - data requirements gathering, analysis and mapping, metadata collection, data on/offboarding and data quality profiling.
  • Manage platform and operations for all tools and applications - Informatica-based products and custom-built assets (EDC, Axon, IDQ, MDM, BigID, Customer Identification, and Data Rules Engine).
  • Develop self-service and as-a-service components - data discovery, analysis, metadata, profiling and audits and monitoring for customers (as needed).

Leadership & Management
  • Serve as a liaison and leader to implement information management in key programs and initiatives.
  • Establish a partnership with Business Data Governance, BI & Analytics stakeholders (leaders and user groups).
  • Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to team members, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Provides oversight and tracking of overall financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Manage vendor partnerships, contracts, agreements, staffing and quality of work.

Qualifications:

Minimum
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. Computer Information Systems, Information Management, etc.).
  • 5+ years of work-related experience in related field
  • 10+ years in architecture design, development, and implementation (business, data, application and technical)
  • Technical experience in developing, implementing, and operating tools to include metadata, master data, reference data, data quality, data discovery and identification.
  • Technical experience using traditional stacks/tools: Oracle, SQL Data Warehouse, Netezza, Teradata / Informatica, OBIEE, Micro Strategy, Microsoft SRSS, SQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as: AWS, Azure, and related platforms Qubole, Databricks, etc.
  • Capable of collaborating and working closely with cross-functional teams - data scientists, engineers, business and solution architects and partners to identify gaps and structure problems.
  • Confident presence in client facing situations, polished verbal and written presentations, effective interpersonal skills, and strong collaboration skills, to partner effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Must demonstrate strong people leadership skills, project management and communication skills.

Preferred
  • Experience in regulatory and compliance initiatives such as, CCPA, GPDR, FCC, SEC and others
  • Experience in Informatica based tools (ETL, Discovery, Catalog, Governance, Master Data and Quality)
  • Experience in data management strategy for digital transformation and cloud technologies
  • Preferred knowledge of Telecommunications
