  • Our client is seeking a customer focused and process-oriented candidate to fill the contractor position of Technology Analyst– Wireless Provisioning, reporting to the Manager Network & Software Contracts. The successful applicant will be part of a team that places orders, manages inventory, and validates billing in the wireless cellphone and machine to machine space. Must be proficient with use of statistical methods for analysis of a variety of data sources, including telecom expense management portal, vendor portals, and internal data sources. The candidate will be process oriented, focusing at times on documenting and improving wireless telecom processes that reduce order issues as well as inventory data issues. The candidate will have exposure to all levels of management through troubleshooting mobility issues and assisting with wireless projects. This role makes significant contributions to the company through management and processing of cell phone and machine to machine orders and resolution of issues to ensure company owned mobility devices operate and perform well.

    • Group is responsible for all mobile devices within org. This position will give more adequate coverage for all the questions they receive about upgrades, etc. This position will be a secondary support – they are not taking the first call but more like level 1.5 to level 3 for user support. Responsibilities:
    • Provide mobility technical support to all levels of the organization through rerouting or resolution.
    • Manage corporate releases of devices as well as line terminations.
    • Maintain used devices for reuse or recycling.
    • Maintain data integrity of wireless inventory and spend data.
    • Update and manage the wireless provisioning processes.
    • Manage the queue for cell phone related issues and inquiries, following up with users as needed to ensure they have a positive experience.
    • Document current processes and assess opportunities to enhance systems for improved efficiency and consistency of reporting, bringing these improvement opportunities to management.
    • Create and document processes and procedures to support wireless.
    • Act as a back-up resource for the Network Provisioning area.

    Any experience using portals of mobile phone vendors is good.

    Colero, DSL, Verasmart – any experience with those are the software they use.

    MOST imp: should be process oriented. Someone who’s oriented towards process, six sigma, itil, etc.Skills Focus: Process and Analysis
    • Knowledge and experience with carrier and Telecom Expense management portals as well as internal data sources.
    • Resourcefulness to gather and analyze information related to network inventory and spend, including taking the initiative to follow up with management and vendors as needed.
    • Ability to work with others outside of work group to correct issues, improve processes, and optimize spend.
    • Understanding of basic accounting terminology and practices.
    • Planning and organization using calendars, OneNote, and Excel
    • Proficiency with using MS Excel functions and charts (VLOOKUPS, AVG, PMT, CONCAT, MAX, MIN, IF, Waterfalls, etc.)

    iOS skills are a must.
