The Data Security Technology Consultant is responsible for implementing Voltage solutions for our customers. As part of a world-class team, you will be designing and implementing solutions for some of the largest, most challenging customers in the world. You must possess excellent technical, client relationship management, and communication skills. You will be expected to provide expertise, guidance, and a commitment to customers' success.

The Data Security Technology Consultant
  • Designs and delivers customer-specific solution architectures
  • Provides architectural guidance on optimal use of the software
  • Provides assistance in implementation planning and deployment at customer sites or remotely
  • Provides mentoring and knowledge transfer to Customer personnel
  • Provides assistance in integrating SecureData APIs with customer applications in various programming languages
  • Provides integration support involving third party products and other technologies, e.g. databases, LDAP/AD authentication, web services, HSM's, networking, etc
  • Documents deployment and publish best practice methods, and FAQ articles
  • Provides a high level of customer satisfaction throughout delivery of the project

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience required) from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years Development/IT/Technical Support/Professional Services experience required (experience in technical leadership and 2nd or 3rd line support is a plus)
  • Experience in one or more of these operating systems: Linux, Windows server and a high level of competence in at least one scripting language and multiple programming languages
  • Experience with Network administration and troubleshooting ( TCP/IP, wireshark)
  • Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/Google cloud) and container administration ( Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts)
  • Experience with backend directory services ( SAML/SSO/AD/LDAP/OAUTH)
  • Experience with Big data environments such as Teradata or Hadoop is helpful, but not required.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Position requires a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation and the ability to prioritize and organize workload to complete multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux OS operations
  • Knowledge of security and encryption concepts (PKI, symmetric, asymmetric, tokenization etc.)
  • Knowledge of encryption methodologies such as AES, 3DES encryption key algorithms
  • Knowledge of network security solutions such as network firewalls, SSL/TLS, LDAP, TCP/IP, HTTPS
  • Knowledge of web servers (Apache) and application servers (Tomcat/JBoss)
  • Programming skills in one or more of the following: C, C, C# (.NET), Java, Python
  • Familiarity with XML and SQL
  • Passion for serving the customer and a good team player
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Must be a hands-on person who learns quickly
  • Willingness to travel as needed ( approximately 20%)
