What Youll Do: As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a part of a highly efficient, highly analytic team and contribute to the quantitative analysis of the Sales organizations key strategic challenges and opportunities. You will be a data SME within the Sales Strategy team and investigate and gather the necessary data to perform the analysis of key strategic questions. You will contribute to the synthesis and analysis of many different market, business, and sales performance datasets. Your ability to effectively mine data from different databases across the Cox Automotive Business Unit ecosystem and quickly arrive at a solution, as well as your executive presence will be critical in this role,

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Help manage processes to build new, and to improve existing, data pipelines.
  • Help drive, guide, and inspect the quality of team deliverables.
  • Development of predictive models to inform strategic business decisions
  • Design and maintain a robust model pipeline.
  • Set up and support cloud infrastructure for the team in AWS for data and model pipelines.
  • Prototype new, innovative analytic solutions, and work with cross-functional team to move vetted solutions to production as needed.
  • Support data inquiries. Analyze data and identify trends. Draw conclusions, present insights and tell compelling stories.
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts on the team

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • Be highly analytical with a proven ability to turn data into compelling insight.
  • Be proficient writing code to extract/transform data from various systems and in performing analysis on large datasets.
  • Be a self-starter - work independently with minimal direction or oversight.
  • 5+ years of direct experience with analytics, reporting, data mining, advanced analytical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Proficient in SQL, python/pandas
  • Experience querying RDMBS environments such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, Netezza, Teradata.
  • Experience with DMBS query tools such as SQL Developer, Toad, SQuirreL
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx
  • Experience with cloud environments, specifically AWS (s3, Redshift, EC2), is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Statistics experience / experience in descriptive, exploratory, inferential, predictive and causal analysis.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
