Requisition Number: 202102405 Senior Software Engineering Manager We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Senior software Engineering Manager for managing the QA organization. You will be responsible for end-to-end quality of a software development process. You will be expected to leverage Quality Engineering and Automation practices to lead and drive the quality practices within the product team. You will be responsible for owning the Quality Assurance for the product group and implement SDLC and Automation. You must have excellent technical skills and aptitude to oversee and coach the team on agile practices, functional and non-functional aspects of testing. You will also be expected to manage the dynamics of a fast-paced environment, a multitude of technology areas like web/mobile automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment. In this role, you will be managing a team of highly technical QE engineers and will report to the Head of Engineering. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta office. What you will do
  • Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
  • Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff
  • Have responsibility for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses as well as pragmatic testing approaches
  • Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements
  • Work in an agile development environment with a team of highly motivated employees
  • Work to establish engineering strategies with a focus on quality
  • Hire, Coach and mentor team members on career growth
  • Be highly results driven and have a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Provide hands-on leadership.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in product development space with 5+ years of management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software QA/Test/SDET/Automation
  • 5+ years as a QA Manager with experience building and managing a test team.
  • Experience in building test automation frameworks
  • Experience in end-to-end testing of microservice based platform in cloud environments
  • Experience with Web/Mobile based Test automation.
  • Experience managing agile technical teams while working in a service-oriented continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) environment
  • Experience with the microservices architecture and cloud technologies
  • Hiring/Mentoring engineering staff
  • Functional and Performance testing
  • Experience with Linux, Python, Selenium (or Equivalent).
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent domain
Nice to Have
  • Experience in leading Agile Transformation
  • Work Experience in building Automation frameworks for IOT/Telematics based products.
