The Senior Software Architect IV lives within IT OPS, OPS Integration and IT Dev/Ops is responsible for the development of the end-to-end conceptual infrastructure platform architecture to serve software architectural alignment throughout the IT OPS client lifecycle. This position serves as the liaison to partner and client organizations such as OSS, BSS, Engineering and Security. The Sr. Software Architect IV is involved with new or evolutionary platform from concept to completion. The Sr. Software Architect IVensures that defined IT OPS hybrid (3P Cloud / On-Prem) platform architecture, designs and products that meet the goals of the business while also ensuring alignment with Engineering, Security, and ED&O standards and strategic architecture blueprints. The Sr. Software Architect collaborates with business stakeholders to decide which technologies and or partners to use and work closely with platform and application designers/engineers to ensure proper implementation and holistic end to end integrity. The Sr. Software Architect IV is the link between the needs of the business organization and the designers/engineers and provide feedback to refine roadmaps and standards based on the practical discoveries made during platform and ci/cd development process. In addition, they will design the validation schemas for validation testing of the platform for functional, security, conformity, performance, and scale for production release.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: - Leads with collaboration with DEV/OPS teams throughout the analysis, design, and build phases to ensure consistent, holistic end-to-end collaborative architectures and designs are being delivered to serve the client platform needs. - Creates initial concept architectures based on initial high-level requirements. - Leads the technical evolution of the Cox application and platform portfolio towards the Cox reference architecture - Provides feedback and recommendation to strategic dev/ops platform architecture team to update, enhance or expedite roadmaps and future-state capabilities based on information discovered during project development. - Assists as requested with design issues that might drive architectural changes. - Ensures compliance to architecture standards and processes - Initiates and manages engagements with third party cloud providers, solution integrators, software vendors, hardware vendors and internal partner organizations within Cox Communications - Engages stakeholders and focuses on virtual machine, container based platforms that span multiple data centers, hybrid and 3rd party cloud providers as well as the applications stacks. - Must provide insight and design of API orchestration and mediation for Infra-as-Code (IAC) - Overall knowledge expert on capabilities of DEV/OPS, software lifecycle management and impacted platforms and systems - Liaise between vendors (AWS, Google, Azure, Cap Gemini, InfoSys, GenPact, Ahead) and ED&O teams, to both keep abreast of the interfaces and ensure consistency of approach in design and validation testing. - Serves as platform Design Lead - Mediate between development groups, working through the dev leads to resolve issues - Manages all new architectures with IT OPS Principal - Serves as evangelist of Platform 3 IAC to DEV/OPS team with inter-relationships to ENG, SECOPS and other ED&O organizations - Serves as an active participant in platform and system integration design reviews; ensuring every design conforms to the overall architecture for a project - Liaison with the product teams to prevent working around our designs and preventing scope creep - Works with IT-OPS and DEV/OPS development resources to ensure proper technical Software platforms are designed and delivered for IaC. - Understands business priorities, and discusses technical and platform capabilities as appropriate. Partners with business to develop platform and IaC roadmaps - Creates design estimates for high-level design and tracks actuals - May support design and implementation of Lower Environments in support of Training, Testing and QA. Builds, refreshes, updates & retires Lower Environments - May coordinate and manage code deliveries for new features or for defect resolution of platform. - May manage implementation of new or updated Platform IaC features.

Other attributes: - Recognized technical ci/cd, coding and infra/platform/app automated test subject matter expert. Focus is on Robot Framework, Selenium, JMeter, Ixia and integration software that have a direct effect on major segments of business programs and results. - Routinely called upon to apply/demonstrate mastery of existing and emerging technologies, practices, and processes - May direct major projects or programs with significant business impact within department, functional area - Performs leading-edge areas of work for the professional field - Displays a high level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or within department problems - Makes prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes - Operates with considerable latitude. Situations may have little or no precedent provoking original or new concepts or approaches without guidance from others - Reaches decisions under conditions of uncertainty - Develops or engages/directs others in developing innovative Software to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems - Cross-department considerations are often present - May provide oversight to employees professional development, but does not have unilateral hiring or firing authority - May oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, and reviewing - Possesses extensive knowledge in primary discipline or technical/ scientific area - State-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, processes, and practices - Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, technical), rather than managing people - May participate in industry events and be a representative on an industry-wide committee - Internally recognized for knowledge and expertise in DEV/OPS and continuous automated testing. - Applies innovative Software to problems. - Occasionally contributes to the development of long-term strategy for specific functional areas.

Qualifications:

Minimum: - 5 or more years of experience required in software and platform testing, CI/CD and application design and development projects - 3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree - Experience in IT Business Requirements Management - Experience in managing IT Service Delivery Lifecycle - Excellent communication, consultation, organization, presentation, problem-solving and decision-making skills - Solid understanding of troubleshooting concepts and techniques. - Ability to work well under pressure and commit to meeting strict deadlines. - Ability to accommodate a highly flexible and varied work schedule - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Ability to develop detailed work plans, prioritize tasks and meet objectives. - Identify and effectively resolve issues. - Ability to multi-task and establish priorities - Strong mathematical, analytical, and modeling skills. - Demonstrates sound business judgment and makes high-quality decisions - Effective time-management and planning - Team Oriented
