The Software Engineer III, Release & Defect is responsible for release management lifecyle including but not limited to scheduling, coordinating and the management of all release and defect activates across environments. The position is responsible for collaboration and support of participants during all phases of the software development lifecycle for programs and projects the Provisioning Development, and Integration team is tasked with.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:- Manage the creation and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure successful software deployments and defect management in multiple environments.- Create, maintain, and communicate release plans across all impacted teams.- Collaborate with leaders to define strategic direction for release and defect management including tools, processes, and actions.- Create awareness and alignment for all CI/CD software release and defect activities.- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and go/no-go decisions.- Produce and communicate deployment and implementation plan documentation.- Ownership of the end-to-end defect management process, ensuring proper hand-off, and coordination between project team members.- Manage the prioritization of defects and queue workload.- Proactively works to understand and meet the companys business goals, processes, key drivers, and measures of success, including short and long-term technology goals.- Ensure project interdependency requirements are met to ensure milestone adherence.Key Skills Required- Strong technical aptitude from a seasoned professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work within the Software and Application Development field.- Ability to identify key barriers, apply problem-solving skills to creatively address complex release and defect situations.- Strong partnering, planning, written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional work teams toward task completion through influence and partnership.

Qualifications: Minimum: Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job. (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.) - Minimum 5 years of experience in Defect, Release or software and integration development role.- Knowledge of Provisioning applications, concepts, methodology, platforms and services.- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.

Preferred:- BS/BA degree in related discipline.- Experience in telecommunications industry strongly desired.
