Come connect with us and lets build a better future together.As a member of the Cox Common Middleware Infrastructure/Application Support Group, which provides support as well as deployment and integration of new services for anything related to the receiving, processing and delivering of Middleware service for the Wireless, Customer Gateway (CG), SAIL and Video (CVM) platforms. Your position will be focused on Ansible Automation, Splunk Dashboard creation, Exadata Patching Activities. Your day-to-day support of all production middleware applications including but not limited to the above-mentioned applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Provide back-office Infrastructure support for all Middleware Services at the Cox Duke Drive Technology Center, Deer Valley and RDC locations for production infrastructure and applications.- Deploy, integrate, enable and monitor infrastructure and applications for Wireless, CG, SAIL and CVM Middleware Services.- Develop Ansible Scripting for system deployments, patching, migrations. Must have skill.- Coordinate, evolve, and manage process of Infrastructure implementation with a cross functional team of stakeholders, ensuring hardware and software Enterprise standards and requirements are met.- Manage and maintain Middleware support documentation including architecture diagrams, in-service reports, installation and retirement procedures, and other reference materials.- Provide input and recommendations to the future network design and architecture of the Middleware application back offices and networks. - Ability to work 24/7 on call rotations as required for support.- Create and maintain monitoring and management of capacity of all environments, ensuring the Middleware team has the resources needed to deliver projects on time and on budget.- Automate build, patching, deployment, etc. tasks using Jenkins, Ansible, etc.- Expert in Splunk regex scripting and searching. Developing of Splunk dashboards.- Familiar with New Relic API / Infrastructure Management. o Assist as primary for Exadata Patching activities, planning, management of Oracle and Internal Oracle teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

(Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.) - Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field (systems administrator or systems engineering) OR generally 3-5 years of experience in related field if candidate has an advanced degree- Excellent communication and documentation skills- Excellent UNIX systems administration skills in Linux environments- Strong experience with working with an ISP web / java server environment (Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat, interacting with Oracle databases, multi-tiered load balanced environments)- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking including OSI Model and basic UNIX system level network troubleshooting skills- Must be self-motivated and results oriented- Must be comfortable working in a team environment - Must be able to work through technical resolution of problems in a cross-functional environment.- Must assist in on call rotations for 24/7 support.

Preferred:- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering- Minimum of 5 years RedHat Linux system administration or system architecture experience- Experience configuring any of the before-mentioned applications with IPv6- Script development with bash or other scripting languages- Python Development Skills- Familiarity with DNS, WiFi, VMWare/VCloud, IPv6, networking/security, and/or load balancing- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Portal, Anthos- Experience with Cable Plant and required hardware (DAC / DNCS etc) is a plus.
