Established Florida Licensed General Contractor looking to hire Experienced
Carpenters to install James Hardie ColorPlus Plank Siding. To apply for
this position you must be experienced installing pre-finished fiber cement
siding.
We are installing 250,000 square feet of plank siding onto 49 buildings.
For quality siders we have housing available in Key West. FIRST TWO MONTHS
FREE RENT.
If you can install 300 square feet per day we pay a 2-person team $3,375 per week.
THE BUILDINGS ARE HUGE RECTANGLES - LOTS OF WIDE OPEN AREAS

REVIEW JOB SCOPE OF WORK SPECIFICATIONS BELOW
Siding Scope of Work
Material being installed: James Hardie ColorPlus 6.26" Plank Siding and 5/4 Trim.
Buildings Only - No Carports
1) Install all pump jacks, scaffolding, roof jacks and other equipment necessary to
remove vinyl siding and felt. Then wrap building & install Hardie Plank siding.
Contractor supplies pump jacks, scaffold picks / planks and other heavy
equipment required for the project. Scope includes set up, utilization
and removal of personal safety equipment. Upon completion of work includes
removal of all pump jack poles, scaffolding, roof jacks and safety equipment used
by installer to complete the work outlined in Scope of Work below.
2) Remove existing siding, felt so that sheathing is ready for Hardie Wrap.
3) Re-nail existing sheathing if necessary (to be determined by Contractor - we have
found generally this is not required at this project but no guarantees)
4) Remove and replace any rotted sheeting, paid full sheet and half sheet.
5) Remove and replace any rotted framing paid T & M.
4) Install Hardie Wrap and double wrap corners.
5) Install Hardie trim two-piece trim on outside corners, one-piece trim inside
corners, 4trim around windows and French door, 6 trim at front entry -front
entry trim may need to be scribed on one side. Trim at rear porch openings to be
three piece. Install typical metal flashings over door trim, window trim. All in
the filed butt joints to be flashed. Install light, electric and vent blocks. Trim nail
holes to be filled as necessary w/ single coat of James Hardie touch up paint
applied to all trim. Siding to be caulked with urethane caulk at vertical trim and
existing facia, around windows, doors and various moldings.
Metal flashings and James Hardie Pro-flashing to be installed per James Hardie
specifications. All cut boards require cut edge to be painted.
6) At 5-foot wood railing, detach / cut back top and bottom rail approximately 1
and reattach railing to building. Note: (2) Railings per A design, 1 Railing per B
Design, this is paid T & M.
7) Install James Hardie plank siding per James Hardie specifications. Touch up
mars / scratches with James Hardie touch up paint.
8) Scope of work includes daily site clean up, you must leave the job site as you
found it each day. All tools we supply to you to be secured and chain locked at
end of day or returned to Conex. All tools supplied by contractor to
be thoroughly air blown and cleaned daily and returned in the condition were
loaned.
9) To safeguard residential job site, all construction and related debris to be put into
dumpsters daily.
10) Weekly pay.
Please note: We install all James Hardie products to factory spec, all work to be performed per James Hardie specifications.
