Title: Software Engineer

Conduct or coordinate complex analyses and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations. Serve as consultant to management and customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Manage or coordinate major engineering projects of substantial impact to the company. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.• Responsible for the support, enhancements & net new requests in the Finance/HR domain• Design and implement web automation solutions.• Database development on MySQL, Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake and other RDMS• Application development in Perl, PHP, C#, HTML, CSS, JS and related technologies• Defines the technical IS (Information Systems) solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration with IS solution architects across IS delivery units. Provide thought leadership to manage and prioritize the demand pipeline• Acts as a contributor within development team to deliver application changes, perform design reviews, perform code reviews and oversee overall technical solution delivery within subject domain and scope of application responsibility.• Best practice & Knowledge sharing: Keeps knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices, bringing learning into client all within the scope of the relevant IS solutions.• For assigned tasks, executes all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACIS (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed) or LEC (Local Exchange Carrier) definitions.• Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.• Continually seeks opportunities to improve processes, data quality, increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationshipsKnowledge, Skills, Experience: Break it out as Basic And Preferred QualificationsBasic Qualifications:• 8-10 years of experience in Software Development• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Business, Computer Science, Technology or related field.• Basic technical skills and applied knowledge in building web-based applications, both frontend and backend• Need to have extensive knowledge and experience with Linux.• Need to have extensive knowledge and experience with programming in one or more of the following technologies: PHP, C#, Python, Node, Go, Javascript or related technology .• Strong analytic skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem solve along with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis are extremely important.• Ability to manage changing priorities and plan effectively in order to meet deadlines• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams in a geographically spread global organization.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in Source Control and Release Management: Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps• Containerization technology experience with Docker or Openshift• Proficient in ReactExperience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS VIVA USA is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a professional working environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment.
