Avalon Travel is seeking a writer to write and research a new Atlanta guidebook for Moon Travel Guides. This is a contract position, not a full-time office job.
This guidebook will cover things to do within the city and surrounding area and is aimed primarily at locals. Although some coverage will focus on famous museums or exploring well-known neighborhoods, this guidebook will also feature lesser-known spots, as well as activities that are off the tourist path. The book will also celebrate the city and region’s diversity, with a strong emphasis on BIPOC-owned businesses.
The writer should live in Atlanta in order to provide an authentic local take on the city. The writer must be very knowledgeable about local spots in the city and the surrounding area and should have previous experience writing about Atlanta.
AT writers are compensated with an advance and royalty.
