Position DescriptionThe OR Control Desk Coordinator promotes the efficient and timely flow of cases through the operating room. Demonstrates ability to resolve issues in an equitable fashion as delineated by policies and procedures defining utilization of the Operating Room. Responsible for the coordination of the surgical schedule on a daily basis. Provides internal problem resolution and trouble-shooting related to operations of the operating room. Responsible for assignment of Operating Room Nursing Staff. Directs the staff during emergency situations in the Operating Room.Position RequirementsCurrent Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license. Two years of nursing experience in an OR setting or completed a formalized Perioperative Nursing Course. Current American Heart Association, Basic Lifes Support (BLS).
