DescriptionResponsible for ensuring that appropriate member treatment plans are followed on less complex cases and for proactively identifying ways to improve the health of our members and meet quality goals.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Conducts outbound telephonic provider searches for behavioral health providers to determine network status and availability utilizing Anthem’s provider finder and other resources
Supports Behavioral Health case management service by responding to inbound calls from members interested in service
Responds to telephone and email inquiries from internal teams and providers
Prepares member cases for documentation system via data entry, accessing multiple systems, and researching information
Identifies opportunities that impact quality goals and recommends process improvements
Develops and maintains positive internal/external customer relations and coordinates with various teams within the company to ensure member requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
Assists management by identifying areas of improvement and expressing a willingness to take on new projects
Previous experience or knowledge of behavioral health and medical preferred
Previous insurance experience helpful
Requires experience navigating and utilizing multiple computer applications simultaneously
Requires experience working in a telephonic environment, call center experience helpful
Must possess strong critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer and keyboarding skills required
Ability to speak with members and other staff in a professional manner
Minimum Requirements:Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 1-year related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Certified nurse assistant or certified medical assistant and/or BS/BA degree in a related field preferred. Bilingual candidates preferred.
