Description

Perform electrical and avionics technical analyses for systems, subsystems, components (and / or software), including fabrication, modification, test, validation / verification, operation, maintenance, risk analyses and assessments of component supportability and design effectiveness • Apply focused or specialized knowledge to resolve design issues that have an impact to system/subsystem and provide corresponding updates to existing technical data • Ensure the logical and systematic derivation of component and associated interface requirements into design solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks • Identify and evaluate alternate solutions for the functional system Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and avionic deficiencies which adversely affect aircraft safety, readiness, and sustainability • Provide subject matter expertise guidance, recommendations and other advisory support • Assists in writing test plans, test procedures, test reports and technical reports, as well as developing/revising engineering drawings • Possess working knowledge of MIL-STD-1798C, MIL-HDBK-522, MIL-HDBK-525 and MIL-STD-1553 • Experience with Automated Test Equipment and Test Program Sets, and other electrical / avionics test equipment • Ability to interpret aircraft wiring diagrams and technical data • Requires the ability to focus on multiple projects of various nature, size and scope • Provide subject matter expertise information, guidance and recommendations and other advisory support • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Strong written, verbal and time management skills required • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training (both required and desired): o Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required o Master's Degree preferred) • Experience: o 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area o 10+ years preferred. C-5 aircraft experience preferred. • Security: o Must be a US citizen o Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
