Looking for prior Service Army in the Individual Ready Reserve(IRR)
The United States Army Reserve is looking for prior service Army, Army
Reserve and Army National Guard Soldiers currently serving in the Individual
Ready Reserve (IRR). There are Army Reserve units throughout the states that
are looking for IRR Soldiers to fill vacancies in their ranks. You will not
have to go back through MEPS, no need to reenlist or extend, just serve out
the obligation to which you are already on.
Didn't enjoy your MOS, take advantage of the retraining opportunities to get
a new one. The Army Reserve has positions available in Health Care,
Engineering, Military Police, Psychological Operations, Truck driving,
Maintenance, and many others.
Ever wanted to become a Drill Sergeant, Officer or Warrant Officer and
didn't think it was possible? YES YOU CAN!
In addition to that Soldiers that transfer from the IRR may qualify for:
Four days of pay for working one weekend a month . Health insurance
options (TRICARE Reserve Select) . Option to transfer Post 9/11 GI Bill to
dependents . Deployment Stabilization(2 years), depending on your last deployment. Tuition Assistance (TA) .
Direct Commission . Opportunity to change your MOS . Commissary and PX
privileges . Active Guard Reserve . Retirement
