Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionThis individual will work with the receiving personnel and lead the day to day tactical operations of the Covington receiving department. Under the direction of the Logistics Coordinator, s/he will ensure the smooth operation of the receiving process, ensure product is unloaded and processed to meet customer expectation and departmental metrics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Assists team in the day to day activities including;

Receipt of products into the Covington facility

Routing of products to designated areas (Incoming, Sterilization, Ship to Stock) via the HighJump Inventory Management system

Receiving of products into the JDE system via IBM Data Collection

Verifies and reconciles inventory receipts.

Proos work for accuracy and forwards to proper departments for processing. (Works closely with accounts payable and numerous departments that depend on accurate, timely paperwork.)

Investigates and corrects receiving discrepancies.

Unloads, logs, separates, tags and delivers packages.

Stacks packages on skids.

Assigns work activities and based on trailer flow. Assists with enforcing 8195 receiving quality policies, procedures and periodic tasks. Supports key safety, continuous improvement and quality initiatives Serves as a company and customer advocate under the guidance of the Logistics Coordinator Establishes and communicates priorities for daily trailer flow and movement to and between Covington receiving and the GDC. Directs work activities and resource allocation of receiving team members based on trailer flow. Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to prioritize tasks and workflow.

Good written and verbal skills.

Good organizational skills.

Good communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple duties simultaneously.

Knowledge of JDE and IBM Data Collection

Knowledge of the HighJump Inventory Management system

Able to operate material handling equipment.

Proficient in MS Office and 10-Key skills

Knowledge of inventory control tools such as, inventory transaction journal, stock status, and computerized-inventory system.

Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills

Must have strong attention to detail and be results oriented.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

2+ years forklift experience

2+ years of experience in a team lead role

#LANGUAGE SKILLS:Must have good oral and written communication skills, to read and comprehend simple instructions in Basic English. Requires excellent communication between multiple departments and divisions as supported at the Covington Facility.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations and apply to various operational tasks.REASONING ABILITY:Must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Position requires reasonable problem solving reasoning ability.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of building.
