ew-On OperatorLocation : LocationUS-GA-DaltonDepartmentCoating OverviewThe Sew-On operator works in the coating department and is responsible for following production schedule and keeping a sufficient amount of carpet in the accumulator at all times.ResponsibilitiesScan roll number and record data of each roll sent through the coaterAttach "style flags" to first roll of each runUnroll carpet and pin to sew-on table, ensuring carpet is straight (pattern/step) when pinningCut out damaged carpet during the pinning process and enter footage in databaseSew carpet together, ensuring that the seam is defect-free with no unseen areas or loose threadsTrim ends of carpet as neededRe-sew seams if defect is detectedStart appropriate machines and run the correct amount of carpet from the roll into the machinesEnsure that the coater is not stopped due to a sewing functionKeep work area clean, assisting in cleaning of latex application, thread-up of coater and shut-downs or change-oversChange thread blades as neededWrite ticket information on log sheetBand defective cores as neededManage seam wasteQualificationsMust be able to reach, stoop, bend, walk, climb, stand and sit throughout shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to use scissors and wrenchesEngineered Floors LLC is an EOE M/F/Disabled/Veteran Employer and a Drugs Don't Work Member.
