Analyze customer data requirements and apply business intelligence strategies and tools to provide insight and reports for TCSG’s adult education program. The report developer is responsible for, but not limited to, developing and maintaining accurate reports and dashboards for:TCSG’s Georgia Adult Learners Information System (GALIS);Dashboards and performance benchmarks for TCSG’s Office of Adult Education;Data matches with other agencies/partners (e.g., Georgia’s Department of Labor, Georgia Department of Education, etc.);TCSG’s Knowledge Management System (KMS) website; andAd hoc reports.The Report Developer will perform advanced analysis, design, and report visualization assignments using Cognos Analytics, or other business intelligence applications. Success in this position requires familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL), data mining extraction from relational database systems (Oracle), and proficiency in report building using Cognos Analytics Framework Manager. The Report Developer must be able to analyze customer data requirements and generate value-adding reports to meet the system’s ongoing data needs.The Report Developer must responds to the data needs of the system office, college presidents, college vice presidents and other offices at the colleges as well as outside agencies and partners. Must provide an accurate and timely response to inquiries while ensuring the security and confidentiality of data.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associate degreeandThree (3) years of work related experienceNote: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:SQL (PL/SQL) developmentCognos Analytics (Framework Manager, Report Studio, etc.)Education data and metricsData visualization and dashboardsTechnical specifications writingCommunication skills (with customers, leadership and technical developers)Due to an anticipated large volume of applications, only those who receive an interview will be notified of the status of the position.It shall be a condition of employment to submit to a background investigation.
