Connect with over 4 million customers a month! Here is a chance to work with the award winning State Farm mobile app as a Software Engineer - Mobile. The State Farm mobile app delivers Insurance, Claims and Banking capabilities to State Farm customers. We leverage agile principles and cutting edge technology to deliver customer facing changes to production every three weeks. Join a high performing team that is passionate about providing what customers want and need from a mobile app. We are looking for one test focused software engineer to join the team!

Our Enterprise Technology (ET) Department is seeking Software Engineer to work on our Digital Experience Mobile Team. This is an awesome opportunity to work in an agile environment to help continue delivering customer-facing capabilities. Competitive candidates will possess a strong willingness to learn, are adaptable to working in an agile development environment (e.g. sprints, stories, stand ups, showcases, retros, etc.), and strong communication skills to illustrate ideas with team members.

Qualifications

We Are Looking for Candidates With:

Key focus will be to accelerate the automation related work on the team and partner across areas to expedite resolution of the significant testing environment and test data related challenges.

Key competencies for success:
  • Research, design, develop, and implement mobile automation solutions
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks including Appium, Cucumber, TestNG, Espresso, XCUITest, and others
  • Experience with Java required, Kotlin and Swift preferred
  • Experience in the use, support, and troubleshooting of REST APIs using tools like Splunk
  • Data mining experience using existing data mining solutions
  • Understanding and knowledge of systems stack with ability to troubleshoot across multiple levels as needed
  • Create and support processes related to incoming and outgoing troubleshooting, data, regression, and automation requests
  • Maintain current industry knowledge on testing practices for mobile testing including automation and manual
  • Ability to lead a large team of test analysts to drive quality and velocity
