We continue to provide innovative care models, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Care Associate (NCA) is a care provider who functions under the direction of the registered professional nurse. The NCA assists other health care providers with safe, age appropriate and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions; i.e. ADL’s, ambulation, vital signs, approved advanced technical procedures, phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, transporting, supplies/equipment, and discontinuing foley catheters; performs other duties deemed necessary to ensure the delivery of optimal care. Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills to ensure positive patient outcomes.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Georgia, or completion of (1) semester clinical in licensed practical nursing program or Asscoiate and/or Bachelor’s degree nursing program, or Patient Care Tech Certification, or (1) year clinical experience in an acute care setting as a Patient Care Tech.Required Minimum Experience: 6 months experience in a hospital / outpatient care setting.Required Minimum Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; Strong customer service backgroundin a clinical setting required. Must be able to demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability tocollaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care; Ability to multi-task and function in stressfuland emergency situations.
