The NCA assists other health care providers with safe, age appropriate and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions; i.e. ADL’s, ambulation, vital signs, approved advanced technical procedures, phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, transporting, supplies/equipment, and discontinuing foley catheters; performs other duties deemed necessary to ensure the delivery of optimal care. Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills to ensure positive patient outcomes.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Georgia, or completion of (1) semester clinical in licensed practical nursing program or Asscoiate and/or Bachelor’s degree nursing program, or Patient Care Tech Certification, or (1) year clinical experience in an acute care setting as a Patient Care Tech.Required Minimum Experience: 6 months experience in a hospital / outpatient care setting.Required Minimum Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; Strong customer service backgroundin a clinical setting required. Must be able to demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability tocollaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care; Ability to multi-task and function in stressfuland emergency situations.
