Center of Excellence (MCoE), Fort Benning, Georgia, GA 31905. "The

Maneuver Center of Excellence" Fort Benning is located 100 miles

south of Atlanta, Georgia, and adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and

Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for

Use multiple Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army)

Logistics Information Systems (LIS) to compile and analyze a

variety of data on current and projected readiness.

Analyze wide logistics readiness posture in terms of equipment

status, supply support capabilities, and regulatory policy and

guidance necessary to achieve the highest level of equipment

readiness.

Perform logistics system management duty and/or policies and

procedures with the responsibility of integrating the supply,

maintenance, and transportation functions into a unified

logistics program.

Plan, supervise, and execute field level maintenance operations

to the organization on fleet sustainment and modernization

programs.

Interact with logistical support in various areas (i.e. supply,

class IX requisitions, repairable management, logistical

information systems management, maintenance, field and

sustainment maintenance) to better facilitate maintenance mgmt

procedures

Plan, assign, and direct work to be accomplished through

subordinates, and establish work priorities and critically

review work of assigned personnel in progress and upon

completion.

Prepare reports, briefing slides to brief higher level officials

on supported tactical equipment issues.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which

includes operating multiple Global Combat Support System-Army

(GCSS-Army) Logistics Information Systems (LIS) or equivalent

automated Logistics Information System to compile and analyze a

variety of reports on current and projected readiness, and determine

deficiencies in the logistics chain that affect optimum readiness.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work

performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal

service (GS-09).OREducation: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of

progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a

degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and

abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as

Logistics Information System.ORCombination of Education and Experience: A combination of education

and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as

the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To

compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months

of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed

graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year

(total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two

percentages.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in
