HR Spec 2/Class & Comp AnalystDescriptionJOB SUMMARY : Under limited supervision,performs various human resources services in support of the agency.Responsibilities include job/staffinganalysis, recruitment (interview and selection), compensation studies, FLSAreview, and other special projects.POSITIONSPECIFIC DUTIES: Handles all requests for posting job vacanciesfrom multiple assigned offices within the Department; from posting therequisition through the job offer.Developsand presents reports on specific job classification and compensation, assiststhe assigned offices with their staffing needs; facilitates at interviews ensuringthat all human resources compliances and best practices are followed.Collects market data for specific jobfamilies providing support for classification and compensation decisions. Develops,reviews and upgrades job descriptions. Attends and/or presents at meetings withhiring managers and other leadership personnel in various offices as itpertains to workforce planning, classification, compensation and other relatedHR issues.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe selected candidate must meet theadvertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications aswell as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.STATEENTRY QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’sdegree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of relatedexperience in human resources.

OR…Oneyear of experience at the lower level (HRP020) or position equivalent.

NOTE:An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience thatprovided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfullyperform the job at the level listed, maybe be substituted on a year for yearbasis.

AGENCYSPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree from anaccredited college or university in Human Resources AND Two years ofprofessional-level human resources experience …OR… Six years of professionallevel human resources experience. NOTE: The above mentioned experience should include:market data collection, classification and compensation job studies, workforceplanning, job analysis, and working knowledge of FLSA exempt/nonexemptregulations.

Experienceinterpreting human resources policies, processes, and practices

Proficiencyin using Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel spreadsheets

Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with experience successfully buildingrelationships with peers to be viewed as a trusted resource for advice andguidance.

Abilityto make sound and well-informed decisions with strong analytical problemsolving and critical thinking skills.

Excellentfacilitation skills and experience making presentations.

Abilityto act objectively while coaching employees and leaders through issues that arecomplex, difficult, or sensitive in nature.

Excellentcustomer service skills with the diplomacy and professionalism to effectivelyrespond and resolve internal and external customer needs.

AGENCYPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’sdegree in Human Resources and Three years human resources experience specificallyin the area of the classification and compensation of jobs.

W@W-CCPCertification or SHRM CP certification

Proficientin project management from idea to implementation thru evaluation.

Proficiencyin using PeopleSoft HRMS or equivalent employee management software.

Proficiencyin using TGC(Team Georgia Careers) orequivalent electronic job posting board

Abilityto adapt to changing priorities in a goal based and/or deadline driven workenvironment.
