Office of Information Technology (General Office) - ITP142 - System Administrator 3 (GENETEC) - (PG N)DescriptionJob Summary : Under broad supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability.Job Specific Duties: Under limited supervision, assumes responsibility for assigned enterprise applications, project deliverables and tasks. Assists vendors and other technical support personnel with implementing and/or troubleshooting problems with agency systems. Serves as subject-matter expert at project meetings for related technologies (Microsoft operating systems and core services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.), ensures that design, implementation meet industry and agency standards for supportability, security and reliability.Provisions, maintains and monitors physical and virtual machines running Microsoft Windows Server-based operating systems and their interactions with database management systems; web services or other on-premise or cloud-based enterprise applications.The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field AND Three years of related experience

OR

Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience

OR

Seven years of related experience.

OR

One year of experience at the lower level Systems Administrator 2 (ITP041) or position equivalent.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated experience administering and supporting Genetec access control products or similar such as Johnson Controls, HiD Global, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.

Demonstrated experience designing, installing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 or newer servers, domains and associated roles/services (DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, IIS, etc.).

Demonstrated experience of advanced administration of medium or large Active Directory implementations (1000 users and/or multiple sites).

Demonstrated experience installing and supporting two or more recent Microsoft enterprise-level on-premise or cloud products (Exchange 2016 or newer, System Center suite, Azure/Office 365 products, Exchange Online, Azure AD, etc.).

Demonstrated experience administering an enterprise-level backup product, including knowledge of backup rotations and best practices.

Demonstrated experience designing, installing and supporting a virtualized infrastructure (VMware 7.x or newer preferred).

Experience troubleshooting basic TCP/IP-related problems (name resolution, IP conflicts, subnetting or supernetting, packet loss, etc.)

Demonstrated experience evaluating customer requests and identifying current systems requirements to recommend solutions.

Demonstrated ability to research, recommend, implement and support new or unfamiliar technologies to support business needs or improve existing business processes.

Demonstrated experience inspiring, motivating, mentoring and guiding others toward goal accomplishment.

Demonstrated experience understanding and applying industry-standard procedures and policies related to information technology.

Demonstrated experience developing creative options for problem solving when standard procedures produce marginal results.

Demonstrated experience in systematic problem solving.

Demonstrated experience making sound, well-informed decisions, perceiving the impact and implication of decisions and committing to action in even uncertain situations.

Genetec Technical Certification

Experience administering and supporting Genetec Omnicast 5.x and Synergis 5.x products

Experience administering Veeam 9.x or higher products.

Microsoft Certification in one or more job-related areas (such as Azure Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, TeamsAdministrator Associate, Enterprise Administrator Expert
