Quality EngineerPosition Summary: Creates and drives plan towards continuous quality improvement.

Position Responsibilities: Follows up and creates plan to address customer action report.

Drive continuous improvement.

Provides support for new product launches.

Supports APQP process and leads control plan creation.

Establish and maintain customer communications where quality is being addressed. Collects data and plans customer visits as needed and follows up on action plan.

Coordinates the PPAP process to ensure on-time delivery.

Writes and updates work instructions or procedures.

Supports new model launch.

Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.

Supports the Design Review process with Lessons Learned information.

Review / disposition / support Engineering Changes.

Inspects parts for compliance to specifications.

Conducts Failure Analysis and generates reports.

Reviews warranty information and takes action to improve market quality. Conducts sorting operations.

Coordinates corrective action meetings.

Implement quality gates.

Verifies that corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.

Monitor and sustain customer scorecards.

Monitors customer portals to provide updates or get information.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial engineering required.

Experience:Knowledge of A.I.A.G. Core Tools; APQP, PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 7+ years experience with minimum of 3 years automotive OEM experience. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Production/Manufacturing environment. Lift up to 20 lbs. frequently. Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time. Disclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands.
