The Developer work side by side with business partners to ensure expected quality software is built to serve our customers and clients. They will be responsible for understanding the business requirements, build/enhance application components to support the requirement, enabling testing organization to certify the application, Support technology infrastructure team in production deployment and transitioning to support team. The Developer is expected to learn the business and technical components of an application and work with their peers to follow enterprise software development methodologies. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Will be responsible for requirements analysis, High Level Design, Low Level Design and complex code development
- May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.
- Communicates with line of business and management the overall status and health of the application.
- Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Understand the organization's overall strategies, how the business operates and more importantly what drives success in the business.
- Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings face-to-face and via remote-working tools.
- May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application.
- Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Requires 3-7 years of development experience in Big Data space.
- Experience working with big data and eco system (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, pySpark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, S3 etc.)
- Experience with high level programming languages (Python, Java, etc)
- Experience working with database systems (e.g. Exadata, NoSQL, Cassandra, Neo4j, etc.)
- Experience working as part of an Agile team and using Agile SDLC tools (Jira, etc.)
- Ability to partner with other functional areas to ensure execution of development, design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting application
- Ability to develop awareness of business function for which application is being designed in order to drive out detailed requirements and form effective partnerships
- Strong analytical ability, independent problem solving, and good communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and deliver in a fast-paced agile environment
- Expert knowledge and experience in software development methodologies and industry practices
- Expert understanding and experience with building and deploying enterprise applications
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written, verbal and diagramming skills. Expertise in using PowerPoint and clearly articulating findings/presenting solutions
- Experience in Banking and Finance domain.
- ETL experience.
- Objected Oriented Programming and Design Experience
- Exposure to data analytic tools / languages.
- Experience with BIG DATA source control management. (e.g., Bitbucket) or job scheduling (e.g., AutoSys)
- Experience working with data scientists or analytical business users will be beneficial.
- Experience in Python programming.
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Cloudera Certification
