Performs bacterial identifications associated with microbiological samples. Performs bioburden and sterility testing, as well as environmental monitoring when necessary.ResponsibilitiesRead cultures and perform all tasks associated with Negative Bench.Reports final microbiological results.Perform and report bacterial identifications associated with microbiological samples.Perform set up of Vitek cards and interpret test results.Centrifuge serological specimens and separate serum/plasma.Complete serological test requests including ordering infectious disease testing, interfacing with other departments, and archiving serological specimens.Perform testing of microbiological samples including bioburden and sterility testing.Perform endotoxin testing.Perform environmental monitoring when necessary.Collect water samples and perform associated testing.Perform housekeeping duties in the cleanrooms and laboratory, including assigned monthly cleaning.Effectively complete "other" functions that may be assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific fieldApproved certification in Microbiology (National or State) requiredMust be detail orientedMust have good communication skills (written and oral)Capable of working without direct supervisionMust be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilitiesMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screenMust be at least 18 years of ageCompany InfoWho We Are.CryoLife is one of the world's leading contemporary medical device companies whose technology and products bring restoration and hope to people all around the world.
