DescriptionRobert Half Finance is looking for a Staff Accountant for a full-time opportunity with a reputable company. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This intricate position is involved in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

Skilled with ERP systems
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
5+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Sage Accounting Software experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
