SummaryYou will serve as an Electrical Work Control Specialist in the Repair Department (Code 300), Work Packaging and Control Group (Code 305) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteedResponsibilitiesYou will receive Formal Work Packages (FWP) and Control Work Packages (CWP) from planning and logistical technical documents from the library and assemble all documentation into a comprehensive work package.You will review analyze and develop appropriate component/ system isolation(s) to perform required maintenance actions.You will route and deliver all FWPs/CWPs and WAFs after they are issued by planning and approved by cognizant SMEs.You will process Stop Work Authorizations in accordance with approved procedures.You will maintain a database and track all TRIDENT Refit Facility work associated with REFIT and emergent work from delivery to the Work Packaging and Control Group through work completion, testing and certification.You will formally and informally brief personnel on planned operations and ensure systems equipment and personnel safety prior to ship's force retest.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsGS-1601-11Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assembling Formal Work Packages (FWP), Control Work Packages (CWP) and Logistical Technical data (LTD) into comprehensive work packages. Experience writing Work Authorization Forms to authorize work on shipboard systems. Experience responding to technical systems alterations to resolve technical problems. GS-1601-09Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following: Experience testing electrical or electronic component/ systems in submarines. Experience using formal work packages to complete maintenance of ships. Fifty percent of the work occurs in an office/conference setting. Fifty percent of the work involves work aboard ship, where there are frequently sustained high noise levels, atmospheric contaminants and industrial hazards.
