SUMMARY

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to develop their Continuous Improvement capabilities through the study, implementation and facilitation of the lean tools and methodology. To monitor progress and support as necessary to drive project implementation and sustainability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works with Site CI Lead, Regional CI lead, local CI coordinator(s) and others where applicable to learn and apply the lean tools in critical areas of opportunity.

Apply tools learned to train and develop associates at all levels.

Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups and personalities.

Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Must have strong written and presentation skills.

Coordinates mapping of value streams in order to develop improvement targets.

Facilitates training, team meetings and kaizen events.

Supports and positively drives 5S improvements.

Consults with suppliers and customers as needed to achieve goals.

Motivates and mentors others in the continuous improvement culture.

Inspires a culture of change and improvement.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two years’ experience in Operations Management or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong communication and presentation skills (Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus). Ability to develop training presentations, standard work documents, newsletter articles. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point. Additional computer skills a plus.
