  • Plans, organizes, develops, directs, and evaluates the overall operation of Nursing Services at Gwinnett Extended Care Center in accordance with current federal, state, local and Northside Hospital System’s guidelines and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
  • Works with department managers of other areas to assure the appropriate and smooth integration of shared functions of patient/resident services.

About the Facility: Northside Gwinnett Extended Care Center bridges the gap between levels of care for patients who are well enough to leave the hospital, but not yet able to return home. We provide both sub-acute, short-stay services and intermediate, extended care. We areproud to be one of just two facilities in GA to be named high performing for both short-term rehabiltiation and long-term care by U.S. News and World Report's 2021-22 Best Nursing Home ratings.

Conveniently located on the Northside Hospital Gwinnett campus,Northside Gwinnett Extended Care Center is a 33,375-square-foot facility with nine private and 40 semi-private rooms. Each patient is cared for by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, physical therapists, nurses and other health professionals for a full spectrum of care. We believe in a strong focus on family involvement for each patient, whether he or she needs short- or long-term care.

Position Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN (Bachelors or Masters preferred).
  • Currently licensed as an RN in Georgia.
  • Five years nursing experience in a subacute care and long term care setting.
  • A minimum of three years demonstrated competence in nursing and financial management.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, policies, procedures and established standards of patient/resident care and regulatory agencies; knowledge of personnel administration and managerial principles and functions. Understand importance of legal controls, professional and moral ethics, and possess strong fiscal management skills.
