job detailsWe have a client located in Lithonia, Ga looking to add an AR Specialist to their team. This position will prepare, post, verify and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers. Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. As an accounts receivable specialist, your duties include, contacting the customer by phone, mail and/or email to collect payment information and implementing an approved schedule for paying off the debt.salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities
Prepare aging reports
Attend weekly status meetings and effectively communicate client activity
Investigates issues related to non-payment of outstanding invoices and payment discrepancies and initiates the required action for resolution.
Escalate call to a manager when appropriate
Assist Accounts Payable with payment processing
Assist with invoicing customers for ALL divisions of the company
Sort and distribute incoming mail each day
Respond to customer inquiries
Reviews invoices and prepares statements for distribution to customers.
Contact customers regarding overdue invoices to determine reason for non-payment and obtain expected payment date.
Maintains collection notes.
Provide collections updates as requested to Accounting Manager & CFO
Proficeint in Excel and Quickbooks
