Job Summary

Perform a variety of complex law related tasks and provides assistance and support to attorneys in order to enhance the legal counsel and support provided to the client. Manages litigation matters, conducts legal research, reviews/drafts legal documents, including pleadings and discovery.

Responsibilities

— Conduct complex legal research independently and accurately. Prepare pleadings and discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents as requested.

— Draft and review/modify legal documents with minimal guidance from attorneys.

— Gather, maintain, organize, analyze and disseminate information.

— Prepare correspondence, pleadings, etc. with minimal technical guidance by attorney responsible.

— Perform a variety of administrative support duties as assigned. Compose clear and concise correspondence or memoranda as requested or required. Copy, route and file appropriate documents in an accurate and timely manner. Perform other support duties as assigned to facilitate the smooth operation of the assigned work area.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education -

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Certification -

Paralegal Certification or 3- 5 years related experience.

Experience -

3 - 5 years progressive work related experience with significant research and drafting responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency.

Technical Skills and Knowledge -

— Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office.

— Demonstrated knowledge of legal concepts and terms.

— Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written skills;

— Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

— Superior attention to detail;

— Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within stated deadlines and for more than one attorney

— Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities;

— Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;

— Excellent oral and written communication skills;

— Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization;

— Ability to present ideas and information in a concise, organized way:

— Ability to organize files and willingness and ability to perform administrative functions:
