Motion Recruitment has partnered with a national consumer services organization in the search for an Azure Databricks Developer (Senior or Lead). In this role, you will be responsible for full life cycle solutions, from conception through deployment, for data solutions. As the custodian for all data, you will work a cloud and legacy technologies to create and evolve strategic data management for operational and analytical needs. Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of progressive career in Data Engineering
- Experience developing modern data warehouse solutions using Azure stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
- Coding expertise in Python and Sparc, with expertise in airflow orchestration
- Experience with end to end data development projects
- 5+ years of experience in driving Meta data architecture and Master Data Management Solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and leading the conceptual, logical and physical design for distributed databases
- Configure the new drives for use
- Add the drives to the volume groups
- Mirror the target devices with the source volumes
- Monitor the progress of migration. There is a requirement for reactive measures to remediate service impacts
- Verify data after data is migrated
- Break off the original mirror when mirroring is complete
- Remove the original storage volumes from the volume group
- Make the original devices unavailable so they are reclaimed and/or remove
