Description: This position is for an entry level Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) Analyst as part of the Structural Integrity team located in Marietta, GA.Employee will perform Fracture (crack growth) and Fatigue (crack initiation) analysis, Force Management, and Individual Aircraft Tracking, to maintain airworthiness and structural integrity of multiple aircraft including, but not limited to, the C-130 Hercules, C-5 Galaxy, and P-3 Orion.Responsibilities to include: Performing fracture and fatigue analysis in support of New Designs, Aircraft Production, Retrofit Kits, Full Scale Fatigue testing, Fleet Sustainment, Force Management, and Individual Aircraft Tracking. Employee will write computer code to automate, enhance, or optimize assignments. Employee will be mentored / instructed by more senior structural analysts familiar with Freebodies, Load Paths, LM Aero analysis tools and processes.Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require the ability to obtain a Secret security clearanceBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical, Structural, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering.Experience and/or course work in fundamental engineering mechanics, such as engineering Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, and/or Fracture and Fatigue.Desired Skills:Knowledge of computer programming languages is highly desired.Experience working with Microsoft OfficeExperience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.Exposure and experience with Linux OS and ORACLE databases, and skilled in one or more programming languages such as VBA, MATLAB, C#, SQL, PERL or PYTHON is desired.Familiarity with aircraft load paths and stability of structure is desired.Knowledge of fracture analysis, fatigue analysis, CAD, and Finite Element Modeling applications such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS, CATIA a plusBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
