Remote may be available for ideal candidate but must reside in a reasonable commuting distance to an Anthem primary office location.Responsible for managing contract and marketing compliance functions for a major business segment, including communications compliance, policy language development, and the evaluation of the impact of state and federal legislation on communications and policy materials.Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

Develops, implements and maintains formal compliance structure and supporting computer and filing systems for communications compliance materials.

Create the structure and processes necessary to manage BOI filings and related activities. Manages process for drafting all policy language including amendments, new policy language, boilerplate language, and language for specific groups.

Review all policy language and marketing and retention materials for compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as for consistency between collateral materials and contracts.

Coordinates market conduct examinations or internal audits of communications materials.

Manages project teams responsible for implementation of new legislation that affect communications and policy materials.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires a BA/BS degree in related field; 5 years of experience in legal research and analysis in the design of legal or technically-oriented materials and regulatory oversight in the healthcare industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Mastery of contract and business writing and a proven ability to analyze and integrate highly technical information into action plans required.

Experience working with State regulators and Dept of Insurance filings is preferred.
