The staff registered nurse is responsible for age appropriate

assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned patients

and assuring that planned care is delivered in a safe, economical and

efficient manner following ORMC''s policies and procedures, values and

mission statement. The registered nurse is responsible for assessing

patients'' needs in compliance with established standards of care and

practice and all regulatory, accrediting and legal requirements. The

registered nurse is responsible for all assigned personnel, equipment

and supplies on the unit and for promoting teamwork among patients,

nursing professional in its Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), our critical

care step-down unit.In this challenging position, you will encounter a wide variety of

Unit.Responsible for managing the care of the adult and elderly patient

experiencing severe, but usually non-life threatening problems requiring

moderately complex assessment, moderately intensive therapies and

interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance. Working with

patients with Heart Failure, COPD, ESRD, Diabetes, Pneumonia, etc.Knowledgeable about Core Measures and HCAHPS, HACCurrent Georgia Nursing License2 years nursing experience, preferably on an Intermediate CareCPR and ACLS are requiredConduct an individualized assessment, prioritizing the data collection

based on theadult or elderly patient's immediate condition or needs within the frame

specifiedby client facility's policies, procedures or protocols.Conduct ongoing assessments as determined by the adult or elderly

patient'sreflection collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.Performs appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate

and timelymanner.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as established by

individualized plan ofcare for the adult or elderly patient and his/her family.Provide individualized patient/family education customized to the adult

or elderlypatient and his/her family. Documents patient assessment finding,physical/psychosocial response to nursing intervention and progress

towardsproblem resolution.Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult

resuscitation andadvanced life support protocols.Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and

client facility staffper HIPPA requirements.Provides care in a non-judgmental, on-discriminatorily manner that is

sensitive tothe adult or elderly patient's and family's diversity, preserving their

autonomy,dignity and rights.Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.Maintain current competency in adult intermediate care nursing.
