Job Description

In this role, you support all aspects of building maintenance and upkeep. You love that you are not stuck in an office cubicle all day but get to move around our production plant performing a variety of tasks. You are a hands-on, get-it-done person who is flexible and quick to respond when called to handle any issue. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come into play as you regularly interact with others internally as well as outside contractors and regulatory commissions.

You carefully perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical and electrical plant utilities and systems. Safety is a priority for you, and you always take proper precautions from the protective equipment you use to the careful procedures you follow. Your excellent maintenance keeps everything performing as designed while assuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems and use your fantastic troubleshooting skills to resolve them.

With attention to detail, you keep accurate and up-to-date records, including logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance orders. You conduct failure analyses and research preventative options, working to achieve optimal machine uptime metrics. You order spare parts and keep them organized to ensure that you have what you need when you need it. You feel great about playing such an essential role in helping us meet production goals!

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and production safety practices including LOTO
  • Electrical knowledge including schematics, PLC, 480v/3 phase, D/C motors, Yaskawa A/C drives, wiring, and control logic
  • Solid understanding of industrial mechanical principles including hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime according to needs

Familiarity with boilers and MIG/TIG welding is a plus! Are you a team player who can also work independently? Can you manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively? Are you a troubleshooter and a problem solver? If so, then you might be perfect for this maintenanceposition!

Additional Information

This role will be operating on a 2-2-3, rotating, night schedule. You will work two days on, have two days off, work three days on, and so on. The hours will be from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. You willnever work more than three days in a row and enjoy a three-day weekend every other weekend.
