Lab Technician

Now hiring for a production/quality control inspector!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms task and administrative aspects of the operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders), including starting up and breaking down operations, clearing operation areas, calculating component usage, verify counts of products in and out of operations, visual inspection of product for defectsOperates and maintains department equipment which may includes Oyster Bay equipment, computers, printers, refrigerators, trolleys, and carts according to department specificationsMoves, stores and inventories product and supplies according to department specificationsReads thermometers, recording charts and gauges as specified by departmentproceduresUnderstands source of products and associated chemical and biosafety hazardsResponsibilities:Performs operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders) and completes tasks within procedure/work instruction-defined time framesCreates legible written records within procedure/work-instruction-defined time frames Verifies accurately product produced and labeledFollows appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilarcomponents or productCalculates accurately components used, rejected or returnedFollows applicable laboratory OSHA safety regulations with respect to chemical hazards,Understands FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations and consequences of nonconformancesMaintains a neat, clean and orderly work environment,Qualifications/Requirements:

1 years of GMP experience

Labeling, packaging, or quality inspection experience preferred

HS diploma
